Today at 4:33 pm, Mr. V passed away. He had fought so hard and long for 39 days and it was long enough to spend time with him and to make sure that my mom and I will be okay and can take care of each other. We were able to be in the room when he passed; it was painful and beautiful to see. He was finally able to be in peace. He is no longer in pain. He can now finally go home to Riviera,TX. We are going to Kingsville, TX and as soon as we know more details I will publish on my blog about funeral arrangements. My mom and I are coping the best we can right now and are so thankful for all the moments we had with this wonderful man. Thank you all so much for your love prayers and support.

Dearest Delena and Diana,
What a man! My heart hurts with you and you are in my prayers. God truly does know best and HE (not time) heals all wounds.
Take care and may God be your strength during this time and the days and years ahead.

On 20-Dec-2009 my heart was NOT happy. But, at the same time relieved to see that he was in peace...his body no longer stuggling to get better. Tia/Del, we love you, and my God give you the strength you need to make it through this next chapter of events. See you in Riviera.
Love,
Mike, Anna & family

December 20, 2009 was a very sad for everyone that knew Roel Villarreal. But, he left an amazing legacy. He touched so many peoples lives in some way or another. He will always be remembered. I know I will always remember that beautiful smile of his. He was a kind, compassionate and Christian man. Yesterday when I talked to him I told him good bye and that we would see each other again one day. And I belive that! Diana, Del and Jonathan, may God continue giving you the strength to carry on. It will be difficult, but he will always be in your heart. Love ya!

Dear Delena and Diana,
I am saddened to hear the news of Mr. V. He was one of the first people I meet in Kingsville when I worked with the loan program. He welcomed me like family. He was a great person and mentor. My prayers are with you and your family and though we may have lost a wonderful person here on earth, Heaven has gained another angel to watch over us. May God Bless you and give you the strength to get through this .

Love,

Mrs.V, Delena & Jonathan..i am still numb and just dont know exactly what to say. Mr. V took me underneath his wing the first day at work in the Financial Aid Office. Since then he was like dad, mentor and a GREAT boss. Our everday morning coffee was one of the most memoriable moments and will always cherish them with me, along with his encouraging and inspirational words. He was a man with a BIG heart of gold. No one could have asked for a better boss, father, husband and friend. He will be greatly missed. I am sure we will all have our special memories. Mr. V and Delena, i am here for you ladies always and may God give you strength to get through the pain and sorrw. Mr.V is on his way through his new Journey with no pain and suffering. What a great Angel he will be....love you all..Lisa De La Paz..love you Mr.V in my heart always you will be..

Dearest Delena,

Yesterday, as your dad completed the final phase of this journey we call life, I am certain he was smiling; looking down on the love of his life, your mother and you; his adoring daughter. I am also certain he departed with peace in his heart knowing that he had a happy and fulfilling life.

Your father was a gentle man, a compassionate man, and a dear friend. Your father was my dear brother.

Please do not be sad, but rejoice knowing that he has entered the kingdom of heaven to rest in everlasting peace.

With my deepest sympathy,
Tio Rudy

I turly beleived that Roel was going to make it and that this was just another set back. I was told on Saturday that I was in denial. When I went in to see Roel, he looked tired, struggling to breath. Then I prayed and told God Roel was in his hands, and only He knew Roel's time. Sunday was Roel's appointed time. I continue to pray that you (sis), Delena, and Jon feels God's nearness at this time of need. It is said, that time heals, and in our quiet moments, we think of our precious memories. Cherish them always. I will be there Thursday, somewhere in the background praying for you. Luv your Sister

Dear Delena & Diana

I still can not belive that my brother Roel has gone to be with father & mother. He had mother's big heart and father's way of making friends. I will miss him the way I miss our father and mother. There is an empy spot in my heart that can not be filled.

The only thing that helps is that He and Your mom created a most beautiful thing and that is you.
For when I see you, I also see him.

Love always

At this time of loss, hope you'll find comfort in the thought that your loved one is now in a place of peace....

No one can really know all that you feel, but God is with you along with all the thoughts and prayers of everyone who cares about you.

Hey Prima/Primos, I am so sad to hear about Roel's passing. I just found out of his passing and was not aware of what had happened. Please keep us posted and as always please let us know if we can be of any assistance. Roel was a great man and I know he helped so many people. The guidance he provided to Lorena and I when we were both at TAMUK is something we will always be greatful for.
