My father will be buried in his hometown of Riviera, TX and the information for his arrangements are as follows.
Rosary (Wake)
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 after 3:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. A Eulogy spoken by my father's good friend Arnold Trejo and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas, 78363.
Funeral Services
We will be leaving Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel at 9:30 am on Thursday, December 24, 2009. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Riviera, Texas with Fr. Peter Antony as celebrant. Burial with full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail will follow at Riviera Cemetery, Riviera, Texas.
Our Lady of Guadalupe is located in Riviera, Texas, one block west of U.S. Hwy 77 and one block south of Hwy 285.
We would like everyone to come and celebrate Mr. V's life and let you know that after the services we will be having some good food and good times at my father's parents house, the house he built in Riviera, TX. The address is 222 w. Live Oak, Riviera, TX 78379, please do come.
We are not trying to discourage floral arrangements but in lieu of flowers we are going to set up a scholarship through Texas A&M University-Kingsville in Mr. V's name more information will be coming soon on the blog. Thank you so much for all your love, support, and prayers.

YOU HAVE SHOWED SO MUCH COURAGE THROUGHOUT. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU DID IT. YOUR DAD WILL TRULY BE MISSED, BUT MR. V. PAVED HIS ROAD TO HEAVEN LONG BEFORE. HE IS RESTING. Diana, my prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss. It brought us hope as we read through your blogs. However, it saddens me as I read through the latest information but I see that God knows best. Thank you for sharing the photos that allow us to see the blessed wonderful times of his happiness. And as you say "it is a time for his celebration", he wouldn't want us to see it any other way.
